Nicholas Heydon

Nicholas Heydon is a senior leader in building automation, energy management, and digital services, with more than 20 years’ experience spanning hands‑on technical roles through to executive leadership. He is currently General Manager – Services, Digital Energy at Schneider Electric, a role he has held for the past five years, leading service strategy, operational performance, and customer outcomes across a large national services organisation.

Nick has held senior roles across service delivery, operations, sales leadership, channel management, and business management within the commercial buildings sector. His experience includes leading large multidisciplinary teams, managing significant P&L portfolios, delivering major automation and energy efficiency initiatives, and building scalable service and operating models.

He is deeply passionate about the role existing buildings play in the global net‑zero transition. With most of the buildings that will exist in 2050 already standing today, Nick believes meaningful decarbonisation depends on improving how buildings are operated, optimised, and maintained. His work focuses on enabling people to use technology to reduce energy consumption, optimise HVAC performance, extend asset life, and deliver sustainability outcomes at scale.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Diploma of Electrical Engineering, and a Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
