Kealy Day is Chief Technology Officer at Smart Commercial Energy, where he leads automation, data engineering, and the adoption of new energy technologies across commercial and industrial sites. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Renewable Energy from UNSW and has over six years of experience delivering solar and battery storage systems in complex retrofit environments.
Kealy is responsible for Smart’s technical strategy, with a focus on system performance, safety, compliance, and future-ready design. He has played a key role in advancing commercial battery storage, including projects such as the Goulburn Community 1.4 MW solar and 2.3 MWh battery system.
With hands-on experience integrating batteries into existing buildings with operational, spatial, and regulatory constraints, Kealy brings a practical, engineering-led perspective to storage retrofits. His work ensures that battery systems deliver resilience, cost control, and long-term value while meeting stringent safety and performance requirements
